About the Business
Founded in 2001 as a home based/mobile therapist, K2U Therapies moved to premises in North Road in February 2011, returning to Haughton Road in 2013, where the emphasis is on holistic health and well-being, beginning in the relaxation lounge with a full consultation. Enjoy the calm, relaxing ambiance while a personalised treatment to suit your requirements, enhanced by our heated treatment couches, is delivered by a highly – qualified therapist.
In 2014, a second clinic opened within The Beacon, at Catterick Garrison, offering our full list of Holstic Therapies, in addition to this K2U Therapies also provides treatments in corporate settings, including a local engineering company, nursing home and an office incubation centre. We also provide support to sporting and charity events.
The treatment menu features many of the popular massage therapies including Maternity wellbeing, alongside the less well known Daoyin Tao® (Chinese acupressure) and Reproductive Reflexology & Baby Reflexology.
Having taught therapies in local colleges since 2002, Kathryn Robinson realised the next part of her dream in February 2012, becoming accredited as a training academy for the awarding body, Vocational Training Charitable Trust, developing and delivering Level 3 qualifications in many massage therapies, taught over a period of time to meet the needs of the student and the criteria of the awarding body. Various study methods are used including Skype theory sessions for those unable to attend the training centre although attendance is mandatory for practical skills.
There are a number of workshops available at K2U Therapies Training Academy, whether you are interested in tips & techniques you can use in the home, a qualified therapist looking for additional skills or looking to gain a certificate in therapies such as Reiki, Crystals or Colour Therapy, we can tailor a workshop to meet your requirements.

The Holistic Approach
Holistic therapies are natural methods of healing used alongside what Doctors’ surgeries and hospitals have to offer, sometimes known as ‘Complementary Therapies‘. They are a drug-free way of helping a wide range of health problems including headaches, insomnia, muscular aches and pains and symptoms of stress.
Holistic therapy is a title given to a variety of different methods of treatment that are based on the same principal: to help a person while taking into account their mind, body and spirit. In other words, holistic therapies treat the whole person, looking at the causes and not just treating the symptoms.

I agree Dan – I too was a member of the Tour De Cummins team and spent a breathtaking 4 days riding around beautiful countryside with a great set of lads but only made possible by the support vehicle and the back up that Kathryn provided. Fantastic massages that eased up tired and sore legs and the shoulder and neck messages were to die for. Will be booking a session first chance I get.
On Friday 3rd May myself and 7 other cyclists set of on the 4 day 425 mile le Tour de Cummins. Kathyrn (of k2utherapies) kindly volunteered to join us (in the support vehicle!) to provide sports massages after each long day in the saddle. These massages were not only much needed, but were also excellent as they left the team refreshed for the next leg of the ride. I have no doubt that it was because of this that the ride was completed with no muscular injury to any rider. I’m sure we will all be getting more sports massages from Kathryn in the near future. Thank you for making the Tour so successful, couldn’t have done it without you!
