My name is Polly Tomlinson. I am a fully qualified & experienced homeopath working in the Merseyside area and I am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
I am a mother of three and, as such, I realised early on in my children’s lives the importance of choice in the type of medication they should be given when they were ill. My interest in Homoeopathy was first triggered when my youngest daughter was suffering badly from eczema and no conventional medicine had any effect. In looking at alternative methods of treatment I discovered Homoeopathy, which cleared up the eczema quickly, permanently and her temperament improved.
This I learned later was no coincidence but more a matter of the skin visually showing the turmoil going on inside. After realising the benefits of using natural remedies, I decided to study Homoeopathy. Four years later, in 2003, I graduated from The Hahnemann College of Homeopathy as a qualified Classical Homoeopath and became a Member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
In 2004 I was privileged to be able to start treating others with the methods that had helped many members of my own family, when after four years of studying I opened my own clinic. I now have a busy practice and have helped many people through all sorts of problems, whether they are physical, emotional or spiritual. Patients are referred to me by previous & current patients and G.P.s.
I am constantly adding to my understanding of wellness and healing. As such I also qualified as a Reiki Master and Teacher, a practitioner of EFT, Magnified Healing, Karuna Reiki and Theta Healing techniques. In 2009, I completed a further degree in Shamanic Homeopathy.
I have helped to create wellness in many people and I am privileged to have been able to help with many situations, some of which are truly life changing. Homeopathy is a wide reaching medicine, which can deal with many conditions, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.

Reiki
Usui Reiki:
Reiki (pronounced ray, key) is a Japanese Healing System used for reducing stress, enhancing relaxation and promoting health. Although it is very ancient in its origin, Reiki is a very simple but powerful healing method. The word Rei means higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness and it understands each person completely. It knows the cause of all problems and difficulties and how to heal them.
The word Ki means life force energy and is the non-physical energy which fills and animates all living things. So long as we possess this energy we are alive. If the life force energy is low then a person is more prone to illness. Life force energy plays an important role in all aspects of our lives. It also increases not only our physical energy but also enlivens our mental, emotional, creative and spiritual aspects.
During a treatment Rei guides Ki in the practice we call Reiki. Reiki can therefore be considered spiritually guided life energy. This closely describes the experience most people have of it; Reiki guiding itself with its own wisdom, rather than requiring the direction of the practitioner.
All that is required of the recipient is to take their shoes off and although treatments are usually carried out with the recipient lying on a therapy bed, treatment can be given in any comfortable position eg. In a chair if necessary. A session lasts about a hour and is extremely relaxing in a wonderfully conducive atmosphere.
Reiki can be combined with all healing modalities, including conventional and complementary medicines. The benefits are it speeds up healing on all levels-physical, mental, emotional. It detoxifies the body, aids sleep, increases energy and stamina, relaxes you and relieves emotional upset. Reiki also makes a wonderful gift- with vouchers available.
Karuna Reiki:
The Karuna Reiki system was developed by William L. Rand, in the 1990s. Over the years William had collected symbols and attunement techniques that others had given him. In the 1990s, along with his peers, he began to work with these symbols and out of this a new system of stronger Reiki evolved. It was decided to name this new system Karuna. Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism, Buddhism and Zen. It is translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and can also be translated as "compassionate action".
"Compassion is a state of consciousness, which when combined with energy, has great transformational power." As Karuna is developed, healing is intensified. The energy has a more definite feeling to it and works on all the energy bodies at the same time. The energy surrounds the practioner and client instead of simply flowing through them. It also has a grounding effect.
I am happy to incorporate Karuna Energy into any Reiki session.
Homeopathy
In recent years there has been an enormous growth of interest in homeopathy. This has been part of the increased interest in complementary therapies as a result of worries about environmental problems such as chemicals in food and anxieties about the side-effects and failings of many conventional drugs and treatments. People like to be treated as individuals and want their practitioners to take time to listen to them.
